This annual run/walk, auction, and Home Run Derby is expected to grow each year and will be a big success because of the support of our sponsors. Your potential sponsorship of this event will ensure its continued presence and visibility in our community.
What would it cost to have your business’ name on over a couple hundred moving billboards? Attached to this letter you will find that your sponsorship of the “Run Ho-Ho-Home for the Holidays” will be a less expensive way to PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS!!! Not only do you get your company’s name on the back of our race t-shirt, you get your company name listed on our Facebook page, coupons, business cards, flyers, whatever you want to promote your business in the race package that each runner/walker receives. What better way to promote your business than by helping student athletes in our community?

Event: This inaugural race features a 5K run/walk and Kid’s 1 Mile Run
Date: Saturday, December 4, 2010
Place: 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile – Knights Court/Thompson’s Ferry
All other events will take place at the Elkins Softball Field

6:45 – 7:30 Packet pick-up/Late registration
8:00 Kids 1 Mile Run
8:20 5K Run (Timed)
8:25 5K Walk/Run (Un-timed)
8:30 Kids Fun Zone at the Softball Field
9:00 Silent Knight Auction begins
9:45 Awards/Prizes/Refreshments
12:00 Jingle Ball Home Run Derby (additional fees apply)
2:00 Silent Knight Auction ends
Course:
The course is a flat surface that will take place on Knights Court and Thompson’s Ferry Road. It will begin and end at the Elkins High School Softball Field.
Awards:
Awards will be given to the overall male and female runners in each division. Each child finishing the 1 mile run will receive a ribbon. Prizes will be given to Home Run Derby winners in each division.
Organizers:
This event was organized by coaches, parents, athletes, and friends of Elkins High School Softball. The proceeds from this fundraiser gives our program the opportunity to purchase items such as helmets, bags, t-shirts, coolers, playing equipment, field maintenance materials, and travel fees for all members of our program. Elkins Softball was a 2010 Texas Regional Semi-Finalist. That honor contributes to our rich history of success on the state and national level. In order to continue our winning tradition at Elkins, we must pursue our fundraising efforts as we do our goals of excellence on and off of the field each year.
Participants:
We are hoping for a minimum of 300 competitors and their family and friends, in addition to nearly 100 volunteers, plus spectators, to help make our 5K a success.
Amenities:
All 5K/1 Mile participants will receive a packet (bag), which contains a t-shirt and a list of all sponsors and other cool stuff. Sponsors are also encouraged to advertise, or to contribute a coupon good for their business. Pens, pencils, and/or water bottles or other promotional item are also a great way to promote your business. A prize will go to the overall men and women’s winners and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in all age group categories.

will receive two t-shirts.
Gold $200
Gold Sponsorship includes company name or logo on our t-Shirt and all race material.
